Through a series of hand-crafted textiles installed on metal rims and maple backboards, Mallory Tolcher reimagines the conventional basketball net through the intricate and traditionally-feminine medium of crocheted lace. By integrating these domestic and laborious practices into the hyper-masculine sport of basketball, ingrained perceptions of athletics and softness in sport begin to unravel.
